The second season of "El Gran Show" was aired on Saturday August 15. All the celebrities were filed on the same day of the first season finale. The judges still being Morella Petrozzi, Carlos Alcantara and Pachi Valle-Riestra. In week 7, Stuart Bishop was invited as a special judge, because all the couples danced Urban dance. The TV Host Jimena Lindo withdrew from the competition in week 5 due to an injury to her leg and was replaced by the actress Melania Urbina, but Melania also withdrew in week 7 due to chronic Typhoid fever, and was replaced by Karen Dejo. The model Melissa Garcia withdrew from the competition due to an injury to her back, her replacement was Danuzka Zapata, but was also eliminated in the same day of her first dance, because Melissa was in Judgement after the withdrawal. The styles of Sexy dance and Threesome Salsa also returned this season.
El Gran Show is a dance reality show airing on América Televisión in Perú hosted by Gisela Valcárcel. Every season, celebrities and amateur dancers are paired up. Celebrities have included actors/actresses, models, singers, athletes, teen heartthrobs, television hosts, and comedians. The format is similar to Bailando por un sueño and El Show De Los Sueños: 11 participants called "Dreamers" star in a dance competition in which the winner will realize a dream that becomes public knowledge, either to resolve a personal problem or to help someone else. The program focuses on social assistance that can be provided to talented people who have no economic means to achieve certain goals. The tool that these dreamers have to overcome adversity is their talent for dancing. Eleven couples compete over 10 weekly galas, in which the couple who received the fewest telephone votes from viewers is eliminated. At the final gala, two couples compete to determine who will win the long-awaited fulfilment of their dream.

Reyes del Show is the original spin off of the Peruvian TV series El Gran Show 2011. This season will join the top three couples of the two first seasons, the fourth in two seasons had the highest average and a couple who did not qualify for this season but was invited by the judges. The prize for the three finalists is 300.000.00 soles: Two hundred thousand for the champion, seventy-five thousand for the runner-up and twenty-five thousand for the third.
